TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That should round things out when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers in this bracket offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you deposit.
